Candle Care Tips
FAQs on Burning Candles
How long should I burn my candle each time?
Burn your candle for 1–3 hours per session, or until the wax melts evenly across the surface. Avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time.
Why is my candle tunnelling?
Tunnelling occurs when the candle is not burned long enough for the wax to melt edge to edge, especially on the first burn.
Why is my candle smoking or flickering excessively?
This usually happens when the wick is too long or the candle is placed in a draughty area. Trim the wick and move the candle away from airflow.
Do I need to trim the wick every time?
Yes. Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each burn to ensure a clean, even flame.
Can I leave my candle burning unattended?
No. Always stay in the room while a candle is burning and keep it away from children, pets, and flammable objects.
Why is soot forming on the jar or wall?
Soot is commonly caused by a long wick, drafts, or burning the candle for too long. Regular wick trimming (5 mm) helps prevent this.
When should I stop burning my candle?
Stop using the candle when about 1.5 cm of wax remains at the bottom to avoid overheating the container.
Can I move my candle while it’s burning?
No. Always extinguish the candle and allow it to cool completely before moving it.
Why does my candle flame look too large?
A large flame usually means the wick needs trimming. Extinguish the candle, let it cool, trim the wick, and relight.
FAQs on Car Diffusers
How do I use a car diffuser properly?
Unscrew the cap, remove the stopper, replace the cap tightly, then gently tip the bottle upside down for 1–2 seconds to saturate the wooden lid. Do not over-soak.
How long does a car diffuser last?
Most car diffusers last 4–8 weeks, depending on fragrance strength, temperature, and how often it is refreshed.
Why is my car diffuser scent too strong?
The wooden lid may be oversaturated. Wipe excess oil from the bottle and allow it to air out before rehanging.
Why cannot I smell my diffuser anymore?
You may have become scent-adapted, or the oil may be running low. Try refreshing the lid or switching to a different scent.
How often should I refresh the diffuser?
Refresh every 3–7 days by briefly tipping the bottle upside down. Avoid frequent soaking.
What to do if I spill diffuser oil in my car?
Diffuser oils can damage surfaces. If spilled, wipe immediately with a damp cloth. Avoid contact with plastic, leather, or painted surfaces.
Can I hang the diffuser anywhere in my car?
Yes, but it is best hung from the rear-view mirror or placed securely upright. Ensure it does not obstruct your view while driving.
Can extreme temperatures affect my car diffuser?
Yes. Heat may cause oil to evaporate faster, and cold temperatures can reduce scent throw. This is normal. Make sure to remove the plastic cap to prevent an explosion.
Is it safe around pets and children?
Use with caution. Keep the diffuser out of reach and avoid direct contact with skin, eyes, or mouths.
